September Mood

It's getting colder and I try to create a little bit of autumn ambiance in between all the mess I have on my shelves and dressers. We had to evacuate a lot of things from the floor because our baby started to crawl! Until we have found a new place for our plants and baskets with newspapers and magazines, they block precious decoration space :) But it's such a joy to see our baby like that! He is almost 8 months old and such a darling.

We finally got new wallpaper in our room. The off-white walls look very good, I just still have to get used to the taupe wall. It looks a little bit dark. But before our walls were bright yellow, it's not surprising that it looks so much calmer and more serious to me now. But I like it and it's a perfect base for the decoration I'm planning!

I also progress in the baby's room, it's almost finished now. I will post pictures next time, it became adorable! There are still a few shelves missing. And my sweet little boy will move in only in a few weeks, it breaks my heart to leave him in his own room...

Today I went to a "brocante", a flea market. Ahhhh what treasures they had! I forgot to bring the camera. I bought some wonderful old vintage postcards with babies, children and young ladies and gentlemen on them, some lace ribbon and some more old French books I use to make vintage crafts. I have so many ideas (and so little time)... I hope I will have soon something nice to show you.

I have to tell you something about the lace ribbons and why I was a little bit upset when I bought them. A few years ago, my grandmother gave me all her lace ribbons she had, and she had a lot, the nicest and finest lace you can imagine. She had a shop where she sold them in the 60ies/70ies. I decided that I would never use them and sold them on Ebay. The lucky buyer (maybe she's among you!) got them all for a very cheap price. Today I really regret that I sold them and that I have to go now to flea markets to find similar lace for my crafts...

Anyway, I wish you a wunderful fall season and enjoy your first pumpkin soup. We will, we gathered our huge pumpkin directly from the field two weeks ago!

Love,
Chani

Das mit den Lackieren von Möbel ist sehr einfach, versuch doch erst an irgend einen anderen Stück als erstes. Du wirst sehen das klappt wunderbar! Nur Mut:-)))
