Ok let's hope this works now. I have a new blog name. This got really annoying and I hope that I didn't mess up my entire blog. I saw already that I have lost all my comments (this feeling must be called the blogger solitude...), but, most important of all, I didn't lose my posts and YOU. Please stop by for a short comment so I know the Google friend connect was moved over to the new blog address. Anyone? If this works well, I will keep the new blog address http://blancetcaramel.blogspot.com and ask kindly those who linked recently to my blog (shop features and blog button) to change them, please. I know all these name changes are annoying and complicated, but believe me, I didn't have a choice. Ok, let's hope everything goes well and that we will have many more happy blog moments together.

Blanc & Caramel au bord de la mer...

Isn't it great that summer is finally here? In the last few days the weather here was simply perfect. Fortunaltely the cold May days (mayday? :) are over, when we had to cancel our trip to the sea because it was raining. I look forward to a summery seaside weekend in two weeks. Deauville is only two hours away from Paris. It's the perfect place for long beach walks when the sea is not yet warm enough to swim in. And the perfect place for little girls like me to collect seashells...

I'm so excited to announce my brand new nautical summer collection Au Bord de la Mer! It was such a pleasure to create seaside inspired items. I love this style, a perfect mixture of fresh white shabby chic and vintage with a story. Everything has of course a little French touch to it ;)

I wish I had beach house, a sailing boat and even a lighthouse, and you?

I decorated it on my white Greek birdcage. I've found those rose-shaped pinecones in the park in front of our house.

And I won again! I got the sweetest necklace ever from Nicole who makes hand-stamped jewelry. She sells them in her gorgeous shop Sweet Tea Shoppe for a good cause. Isn't that amazing??


She personalized my necklace with the names of our little family. Of course this, too, was wrapped in the cutest little box with a bow! I adore this necklace and have worn it everyday since I got it.

As if I haven't got enough new treasures, I went Etsy shopping and found some lovely Americana bowl fillers. Isn't it funny how you always want what you don't have: I want American stuff and Americans want French stuff!

The bowl fillers have been coffee-stained with vanilla, they smell so good!


I love the tag, it's all hand-drawn!
